Morning Garden Walks

Join our head gardener, Ingrid, at first light among the heritage apples and herb beds as we harvest for the kitchen and meet the hens.

The day begins with a basket and a kettle.

The kitchen garden is laid out in five long beds between the manor and the orchard — heirloom tomatoes in summer, kale and root vegetables into the winter, and a deep herb hedge that perfumes the morning. Ingrid will share the story of the heritage apples (some grafted from cuttings older than the estate itself), and we'll gather the herbs the kitchen needs for the day.

We finish at the hen house, collect the morning's eggs, and walk back to the manor as the breakfast table is being laid: warm bread from the barn oven, soft eggs, fresh cheese, honey, and whatever fruit we've just picked.
